Dr. Dalia Shlash grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland and later attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, MD where she received the Harry E. Kelsey Orthodontic Award and was a member of the Ferdinand Gorgas Odonatological Honors Society.
Dr. Shlash went on to further her dental training by completing the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. While she was a resident, she also obtained a Master in Public Health degree, as she is interested in improving public policy for dental and orthodontic health. She completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, which is where she met Dr. Mattson, her all-time favorite clinical instructor. She is honored to be carrying on his legacy of compassionate, high-quality orthodontics that he has established in Olney for over thirty years.
Since dental school, Dr. Shlash worked in a cutting-edge Diamond+ Invisalign® orthodontic practice with locations in Howard, Baltimore, and Carroll counties for many years and is happy to finally establish herself in her native Montgomery County. She resides in Howard County with her husband and three kids and enjoys spending time with her family and going on hikes on the various local trails and county parks.
